we had a mid-album suite set up to work more as a three-piece set than individual songs, so we decided to go ahead and release all three at the same time. listen to them all in a row, it'll be better that way. (intended order - i dont even know, nice thought, thinking in circles). if not, you still get three songs instead of just one. enjoy.

1st show

we've got our first show as zt lined up. we'll be playing march 19th at the Fraternal of Eagles, located at 67 1/2 West Washington St. in Nelsonville, Ohio. our main man scott mccambridge set it up for his birthday, and its going to be a good time.

we've got a bit of a line-up change for the band, too: dave will still be playing bass, but jake unfortunately had too much life going on, so we had to find a new rhythm guitarist. so, we got our buddy clint smith to play. if anybody was a fan of ours during our time in pup the rabbit, they'll know he used to play with us. he's a great musician and i'm glad he'll be playing with us for at least a show, hopefully more will follow.

in conclusion, SHOW MARCH 19TH! clear your calendars, save up $2 (that's all the cover charge is!), and come have a great night listening to some good music to celebrate scott's successful emergence from the womb!

so i stumbled upon tumblr the other day, and i liked it quite a bit. so, i made an account for zt. you can check it out at zt-music.tumblr.com. it's called "I Always Knew You Could Fly", which is also the title of our second album, which we've already started demoing songs for.

we'll still be putting up the rest of "Beer Can Superstar" on here. for now, the other blog will mostly be actual blogs- thoughts about whatever, opinions, etc. i'll eventually put music up on it, too. for now, just check it out. i know it seems confusing/redundant to have two blogs, but it'll make sense. eventually.

another week is almost over (here in athens, the week is over). so it's time for another song. this one is called "When You're Spinning". it starts slow and builds as it goes, so make sure you stick around until the end.

and now, for something completely different. (but not really.)

we're going to be jamming with jake sulzer and david morckel in the very near future to work out playing this album live, which i'm pumped about. it's a completely different experience from being in pup the rabbit, where we wrote everything together and built each song specifically to be played live. for beer can superstar, since it was only zane and i for the most part, we couldn't approach song-writing in the same way. instead, we had to start with a bare-bongs song and build it up from there. now we have to go back and teach jake and dave the songs and get into a groove as a unit so we can not only play the songs live but put on an entertaining live show. i'm excited for the new challenge, so get excited for some shows soon!

p.s. as soon as we finish up BCS, we'll be starting work on our next album.

So today I made zt a sonic-bids account. In hopes of playing at the Nelsonville Music Festival w/ none other than the FLAMING LIPS!! They probably won't like our music & will puke on it.
